Jen & Brent

I had the pleasure of being a part of Jen’s wedding.  I love her choice of a birdcage veil and instantly knew she needed some KNOCK OUT smoky eyes to make it all come together.

Playing up her divine milky skin tone, decolletage and perfect strawberry blonde hair color,  Jen was the picture of femininity. Her mom was so excited that day and wanted a really natural look.  Natural and with a little flare of lashes.. she loved how she looked! I love her glowy skin.

She exudes confidence and gorgeousness with that look.

Amanda & Jonathan

It was my delight to have this wondrous face to work with.  This is Amanda.  She was as stunning as a bride can get.   I love her eyes.  She asked for a little more drama and I think it was the perfect balance of flawless and smoky.

Look at those eyes.  She is seriously amazing.

Her  bridal party was lovely and so much fun. This is a group of girls that will be together for life. This is Amanda’s sister – her reaction when she first looked at herself in the mirror after makeup.. “Wow! I look really hot!”  I LOVE IT!!Girls, don’t overlook the importance of makeup for your mom.  Sweet and unassuming,  Amanda’s mom was pleasantly surprised at how much she really liked her makeup.  It’s more than a treat.  It’s the way your mom deserves to feel, too.

Sylvia

Behold what I think is possibly the greatest before and after I have ever done.

Okay, well maybe because it’s a full fledged hair and makeup one too.

But, indulge me.

This is Sylvia.

Her creamy perfectly toned skin was just begging to be lit up.

I spent the day with Sylvia and her daughter (the amazing Heather of Weddings by Heather) yesterday. Our families were laughing, swimming, grilling and having great conversation all while we transformed Sylvia’s look.

Heather colored it and I styled it. Then came my turn to transform the brows and her face.

Sylvia was a great subject. Affable and totally soaking up the experience she just let us do what we wanted.

Look at the “oh.my.gosh.” results!

My favorite part was when Sylvia went to the big mirror to look at herself for the first time.  She squealed and literally could not stop looking at her reflection!!

She’s such a gorgeous woman. Her tenderness and lovely nature exude from her. And now,  she’s got that Va Va Voom factor goin’ on!

Carrie

Pittsburgh Make-up ArtistMy most recent boudoir shoot was unbelievably fun, intimate and featured this enchantingly beautiful woman.

Carrie is one of those rare women that is confident in her own skin, sweetly inspiring and without a doubt a fabulous girlfriend to have.

I’m usually the one that listens and cajoles my clients into feeling comfortable before being in front of the camera during a shoot.  Instead, I found myself reveling in her presence and really bonding.

Being with Carrie,  Heather- the amazing whiz behind the lens and Denise the “Hair Whisperer” who works her magic on every one’s locks was like being in a room with my best girlfriends.

Secrets hilariously shared, beauty unveiled and friendships strengthened.

I am so pleased to reveal this before and after.

Welcome to Kiss and Makeup 2.0!

Thank you so much for checking out my new blog and website!

It has been an amazing journey that started with a tiny site built by me in the middle of the night with “before and after” pictures from my little digital camera.

The process of building a business, establishing my clientele and my body of work in a competitive market has not been without it’s challenges. Finally carving out a place for myself to be viable and creative all at once has been a marvelous and rewarding trek.

Along the way I have had the pleasure of meeting and joining forces with some extraordinarily talented people.

Most notably, Heather and Craig Lahtinen of Weddings By Heather. I was mesmerized by her work and inspired by her passion and business acumen. Together, I think there is nothing those two can’t accomplish.

This website was a vision in our heads for a long time. Seeing it go live and come to fruition is a dream for me. Heather and Craig listened, analyzed and designed this phenomenal platform.

I am speechless at the result. Thank you just isn’t enough to begin to tell them how much I appreciate what they’ve done for me.

I want to thank all of the gorgeous women that allowed me to post their images. It is their inner beauty and the discovery of such that drives me to be better at my craft.

I want to thank Corrie Miller of Sweet Cheek Designs for the brilliant design that is my logo. Her intuitive style and ability to translate my vision was astonishing.

I look forward to seeing where this journey continues. But one thing I know for sure, is that it wouldn’t be the same without all those that I love and that love me. View full post »
